Debbie Harry

Deborah Ann Harry, born July 1, 1945, is a world famous singer-songwriter and actress.
She is well known for being the lead singer for the group Blondie. At the age of three months, Harry was adopted by a couple from Hawthorne, New Jersey, and grew up in the area. She formed the band Blondie with her boyfriend Chris Stein, and the group went on to be a new wave/punk rock hit. The group often played at such famous New York City venues as CBGB's and Max's Kansas City. In the late 1970s, the group became known for their hit, "Heart of Glass", and later for the single "Call Me". Debbie became a fashion icon for the 1980s punk rock scene with her bleach blonde hair.
